A new reign begins on the GW Amp site today. A new herald of the Site Manager title has been chosen and his name is Wyat_Hawke.
For those unaware, outstanding staffer/member Kanna recently stepped down as Site Manager for the site. In his departure, a new SM was sought to fill in the void. Kanna will be missed as staffer but I am pretty sure he isn't completely leaving the site. I would like to be one of the first to thank him for his time and effort he placed into the site on a daily basis. Also please give congratulations to Wyat in his new position for the site.
With Wyat taking over as SM, we are considering opening up to take on new staffers. Stay tuned for news on seeking out site assistance. If anyone has any questions feel free to contact Wyat or myself.

Game Update 45 is coming soon and looks to have something for everyone. Will start with Coercers and Warlocks no longer needing spell componnents like thoughtstones. Weaponsmiths and Woodworkers will have see some dramatic and welcome overhauls to crafting. You will now be able to share things with your evil alts and revel in additional bank slots. Now even quests that no longer reward you with adventure experience due to being too low level may still give you Achievement XP. Priest classes may have some heals combined to cure multiple afflictions.
Finally some high level monsters corpse and chests will have the decay time increased to give additional time to loot.

A CES interview with SOE President John Smedley, pt1 which is a lot about new ways to implement 'legit' RMT and other ideas for the future. Which seem to have turned towards micro-transactions now as well as expanding on Station Access. SOE also wants to start facilitating companies & sites in the eco-systems surrounding their games.
CES Interview with John Smedley, pt2 which has more on Station Access and how they'd like to give you expansions 'free' through it. It will take some time to hammer things out logistically. The price raise of Station Access went to raises for long-term employees it seems. And to crack down on farmers.
In closing, an older article that contains Smedley rebuttal of rumors of condoning RMT in EQ2 and additionally some interesting information on how illegal RMT (non SOE sanctioned) harms both you and them. This one is a bit older, but has some good points to consider.

Welcome to the GameAmp Network
Congratulations of finding your way to the GameAmp video game network. GameAmp is a unique gaming network which focuses on promoting the users through a credibility system. Each site on the GameAmp network is devoted to a different video game. Located on the bottom right hand side of each site is a list of games which will take you to the site on the GameAmp network which is devoted to that video game. Once you have created and account on the network you may use that same account for all of the video games that GameAmp covers. Each site however has its own credibility points so if you want to become known for being a top contributing member, you’ll need to contribute to each video game site separately. You can, of course, always focus on your favorite game and you will still have access to all of the content located on the other gaming sites within the GameAmp network.
For instance, if your favorite game is Everquest 2 then you’ve already come to the right place! The GameAmp Everquest 2 site has all the latest information to get you started playing Everquest 2 or to help you improve your Everquest 2 knowledge and skills. With thousands of pages of information all devoted to Everquest 2 you should have no trouble finding what you need. If you see something that’s not mentioned that is related to Everquest 2, then by all means post it! We’ll give you credibility for almost anything you post as long as it pertains to Everquest 2 and a site administrator approves it.
