Scratching her head, the Ogre stared at the closet.
“What is it?” she asked the small rat beside her.
“Me do not knows.”
The two of them studied it, feeling and rubbing the wood. The red closet had showed up in the middle of Freeport overnight. Rumors were flying through the city, for all who went through to investigate did not return. It seemed too small to squeeze through, but the militia reported that some of their largest men had gone through.
The ratonga creeped up and grabbed the handle, but before he could open the door someone came tumbling through. The startled elf looked around in astonishment.
“Freeport,” he mused. “One never forgets this place.”
Tefret, the fuzzy rat, ran to his side. “Are you hurts?”
“No, no. Just a little shaken. I did not mean to return quite yet.” Tefret looked at Tegott, who shrugged.
“Return from wheres?”
The elf grinned. “Wonderland of course!” Quickly the elf hopped to his feet and disappeared back into the closet. Tegott and Tefret looked at each other then followed. .
Once the swirls of red and green color left their eyes, they found themselves covered in snow. Things were odd and unfamiliar, until the sound of fighting rang through their ears. Tegott instinctively drew her sword and fell into battle stance, but the fighting was no where to be seen.
She ran to a militia officer that was standing beside a closet identical to the one they had entered through.
“What’s happening here?” the ogre asked.
The officer looked her up and down. “You are dressed for battle. Good. We need more soldiers. These Qeynosians are beginning to ruin my mood.”
Tefret peeked around the huge ogre and noticed that the officer was carrying a large candy cane as a weapon. He snickered, but Tegott kicked him quiet.
“Sir, where are we?”
“Frostfell Wonderland. It happens each winter season, but normally the portals do not appear in the cities. As you can see, it causes quite the war. If the Qeynosians would leave the lands alone, we could rid of the unicorns and Fae and have Frostfell to ourselves. The Overlord would be pleased.”
Tefret’s little paws began to cast a spell. “Lets goes then!” he said as he took off into the battle. Tegott ran after him, but stopped when she came to a rainbow. The arched rainbow went down to a snowy island where the battle cries came from. She shook her head and surveyed the area. Snowmen, ribbons and rainbows were everywhere. Fae and goblins danced together to the music that was carried in the wind.
She sheathed her sword and walked back towards the red closet.
“Soldier,” the militia officer cried. “Where are you going? Get down into that fight.”
Tegott shook her head. “Me not fight for this. Let them have it.”

Back in Freeport, she headed to the Shadow Keep to tell the others of Frostfell. The Tier’Dal were disgusted, the trolls were intrigued and many were ready to spill the blood of the others.
Word was quickly spread throughout the city and signs of Frostfell began to show. The Overlord granted decorations to be hung through the city and a goblin was even permitted to enter to sell Frostfell trees.
Tegott spent her Frostfell in the city making and giving gifts. She did not step back into the Wonderland again. The ogre could not figure out how her fellow evil brethren could fight to have rainbows and unicorns.
Truly, the evil gods must have gone crazy. She was sure of it when Tefret returned. He was eating a snowman cookie and had replaced his dagger with a candy cane.
