So recently I borrowed a machine from work to play Vanguard on and while it has a great cpu, and decent video card, and I use my same old keyboard and mouse it made me realize how much I miss my Creative Labs Audigy 2 card and how much sound means to me in gaming and thus declari it my favorite piece of hardware with my Logitech Mx 518 optical and Saitek keyboard getting honorable mention. Now what are your can't do without bits of hardware?

My headphones! It's amazing what you can hear with headphones that you can't through the speakers. (at least my speakers) ;-)
