... more Journal space please!
Tyr is closing in on 1000 quests completed and the active tab of my journal is full with 75 quests and there's tons more out there to pick up. Hmmm... maybe I'm addicted.

ZOMG you get 75 QUEST SLOTS?! Thats SOOOO unfair, in wow we get 20...well now 25...but YOU GET 75? Ugh!
Maybe I will have to start this journey you call everquest....

Only 20 in Vanguard. And that is adventuring and diplomacy combined. Although I would really love to see it increased I can live with it. I guess since I come from COH where you can only have 3 quests at a time I am used to clear off quests as I get them.

I don't know about the other games but in EQ2 the quests sometimes have multiple steps and can take quite some time to clear. For example, book quests usually have 10 pages, each page being a part of the quest to have to clear, and Heritage Quests have multiple more difficult steps.

Oh man Phedre, I know what you mean about Vangaurd in that I really wish that the Diplomacy quests did not count against the meager 20 quests in our VG quest book. In any of these games I have a had time keeping my quest journal from filling up but in VG I have actually had delete quests for a short time. Oh man and I did not know that in COH you could only have 3 quests wow that would be tough for me but I have heard from Shaodowbane players that left to play COH that the quest are pretty good and involved so a player is not as tempted to juggle a lot of them.

I must confess to being in a bad quest frenzy with Colewin now that he is ranked #30 on our server for quest completion amongs Paladins. I feeverishly seek to make the top 25. With a bit over 1100 quests under his belt Colewin still has about another 100 to complete before he will be ready for the bright lights of the top 25. :) Not bad for a level 56, the majority of the top 25 have hit the current level cap of 70.

I have a hard time figuring out what to work on since I have a hard time knowing what I can do solo. I'm slowing figuring it out, but all those unfinished quests in my quest journal stress me out. I want them done. I am realizign that it is endless in that as soon as I finish one, another pops up.. but it would be nice to at least feel as if I'm making progress. :)

That always stresses me too, never knowing which to do first and then getting overwhelmed by it all...I feel your pain!

I am wondering if there is a discrepancy between the rankings and the number of quests completed in my journal. Rankings show Tyr ranked at 16 for swashy's for quests completed on Butcherblock with 1086 quests completed, but that seems to be the number of Completed quests in my journal plus the Active ones. I'll have to check it out some more but wondered if anyone has noticed the same.

I think one thing that happens is that your journal count is updated in real time in game but the Rankings and Leaderboards are updated periodically as part of maintenance events... From what I can tell the rankings given on EQ2 players and the Leader board calculations are also on a different schedule.
