Ok, I started playing a Fury to team with my friend because he needed a healer and I thought it would be cool to have the portals that the Druids get. For the life of me I can't find any info anywhere on how to get the portal ability. Can anyone out there explain to me how to get it? What lvl do I need to be? Do I just have to talk to someone or is it a quest I have to do? Thanks in advance.

excellent! great question.
furies and wardens get the ability to open portals to the druid rings in the mid level 20's area i think. for the druid (fury/warden) they must have spoken with the portal trainer and gotten the portal quest before they can open the various portals. also the toon wishing to travel must have harvested the blessed tunare bush at the druid ring in question before they can travel to that location using the portals. the druid will also need to have harvest the bush as well. once you have these portals active you will become very popular with other players. :) the portal trainers are in south qeynos and north freeport in the same place where priest writs are given. i am doing this purely from recall and while at work so forgive any slight inaccuracies and feel to jump in with any corrections or updates. congratulations on your toon choice and all the fun it will lead you too!

heya... i just want to clarify that the portals trainer on the qeynos side is in north qeynos in the area around the temple of life... concordium/priests. there is also supposed to be a portals trainer in kelethin in greater faydark.
if i remember right my fury got the portals at level 25. i think i harvested the bush at the druid ring first and then talked to her and she sent me back to the ring and then i had to talk to her again to get the portal spell for that ring. you have to do that for each of the rings. there are 5 rings... antonica, commonlands, butcherblock, greater faydark, and steamfont.
just as a side note... i experimented a bit and had my fury cast a portal at the same spot where i had an alt logged out. then i logged out the fury and logged in the alt. my alt saw the portal but then it disappeared before i could use it. so it's a no-go for working that way. :-) had to try though! :-)

yep definately north qeynos, don't know what i was thinking at the time. the druid rings are in 5 zones: antonica, the commonlands, butcherblock, greater feydark, and steamfont. happy adventuring all. :)

there are portal trainers in every starting city.
just ask any guard for directions to a "portal trainer".
if they don't know, then they are just not in that zone, so try the next one (if your starting city has mutliple zones).
