So I just reinstalled the game for the first time in a year or so and installed desert of flames. After logging into my account I found the update time to be far to long?
I know that some games after you come back to like WoW took me a few hours but the updater says 12hours?
Is there anyway to shorten this? Maybe faster downloads over the net?

Hi Stealth demon and welcome back to Norrath and GameAmp. :) I think your long download is may be the result of your coming back during a period of offers that let folks try out the material from the 2 expansions that came out after Desert of Flames. This should be a one time thing and even if it was not the expansion things if you have been gone that long 12 Game Updates have been released that added things like new zones and other features. Hiya Stealth... welcome back.
Lots of updates means lots of downloads. :-) But you can't always believe the timer on the updater. Sometimes it even seems to get stuck or starts counting up instead of down. You can always cancel and restart it and it picks up where you left off.
