Everquest 2 – Lore and Legend Quests
Lore and Legend Quests are Item Triggered, meaning they are started by examining an item, a book, in order to get the quest. They involve killing a number of mobs in order to collect pieces. You will need to collect 8 pieces in total. Of these, 3 are auto-updates, meaning that when you kill the mob the quest will ding and you will have collected that piece. For the other 5 pieces, you kill the mob and an item will drop which you will have to examine to get the ding for the quest.
By completing Lore and Legend quests, you will receive a furniture version of the book and a trophy to display in your home. You will also gain a Master Strike, Master Smite, or Master Rage combat skill that can be used against the specific mob.
The chart that follows not only gives you a convenient way to keep track of which pieces your characters have completed (or are in process of completing), but it also lists the name of the book you will receive upon completing the quest, and as many locations as I know of where the quest can be started.
