I still remember the anguish with which I dumped some nice looking 36+ and 46+ sets I'd worn for such a long time but were just taking up space in my house vault. With the decorative armor you can now wear one of those set, but with this feature, you can add at least one more :-)
... actually the items you display on the mannequin aren't actually stored on the mannequin. They will be items in an inventory slot that you drag into the mannequin display slots.
